Visitors to the West Chicago City Museum experienced a lively program about Animals of the Prairie this past Wednesday, July 21, 2010.
Jack MacRae, Naturalist with the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County brought pictures, animal fur and bones, and told intriguing stories about species survival.
Best of all, he introduced two friendly snakes to participants of the program. Needless to say, the snakes, a Milk Snake and Fox Snake, were a big hit. The kids and their families discovered that snakes weren't creepy or slimy as they may have imagined, but beautiful and muscular reptiles.
