Poms win Youth Group Heritage Award

West Chicago HS

On July 15th, the Community High School Poms participated in the Railroad Days Parade.  It was important to the Poms members to walk rather than ride on a float so they could exhibit their skills.  The team was very excited to participate in the Railroad Days parade and show community pride.  Ms. Krystal Kost, the coach, walked with the team.  The team marched to choreographed arm movements.  While it was extremely hot, they were delighted to have the opportunity to march down the parade route.  They were especially pleased to see the excitement their presence generated.  There was a steady chorus of “Go Wildcats” as they marched by.  At practice the following Monday, it was agreed they would march again next year.
