Student of the Month for October 2012

West Chicago HS

The faculty and administration of Community High School would like to congratulate Isreal Malave of Carol Stream for being selected Student of the Month for October.

As a student at Community High School, Isreal has previously been recognized as an honor roll student, a Lewis University Merit Scholar, and a Northern Illinois University Merit Scholar.  Isreal’s teachers state he is a “bright and very hard working student.  He is highly successful academically.”  While Isreal has succeeded academically, a teacher notes “what is really extraordinary about Isreal is his character.  He is probably the most polite, respectful student I have ever met in my career.”

While succeeding in the classroom and being a positive influence on his peers, Isreal has also participated in the CHS Snowball program.  Outside of school, he maintains employment at Odyssey Fun World and is able to balance working with his academic responsibilities.

Isreal’s favorite high school memory is from his freshmen year math class.  He says “every day in that class was filled with joy and laughter, and that is when I started meeting a lot of new friends.”  He offers this advice to future CHS students, “Work hard and never give up in school.  By doing so you will see great results for your future.”

After graduating, Isreal plans on attending College of Dupage or Lewis University, to pursue a degree in Criminal Justice.

Community High School congratulates Isreal on all of his accomplishments and wishes him the best of luck in his future endeavors.
