Big Screen Movies Come to the West Chicago Public Library District

WC Public Library

We all know libraries are great places to find books and DVDs, to study, to read. But when was the last time you visited a library to watch a movie? That’s just what you’re invited to do this winter at the West Chicago Public Library District as we present “Great Movies from Amazing Books” as part of our Winter Reading Program theme, “The Book Was Better!”

The movies, offered on Thursday evenings at 6 pm, include some terrific family-friendly films.   On January 24, we will feature “The Hunger Games” (PG-13) based on the novel by Suzanne Collins; February 7 will feature “The Wizard of Oz (G) based on the novel of L. Frank Baum; and, February 21 features “The Lord of the Rings” (PG-13) based on the novel by J.R.R. Tolkien.

The popcorn’s on us, so stop in and pick up your free tickets, call us at (630) 231-1552, x4, or register online at www.westchicago.lib.il.us.  See you at the movies!
